Ross, She is fantastic!!! You have captured such emotion in her face! BRAVO!!PS - six Boxers??? That's like constantly being at a convention of clowns :) :)
Thank you Kathryn. I love your definition of 6 Boxers. So true! They are goofballs for sure.
Me, again ... Ross, I want to thank you so very much for your kind and considerate comment!
You are most welcome Kathryn.
By golly, you have have done it again! The way you paint with those gorgeous colours and light, makes me really love boxers, and I am more of a collie, lab, shepherd kind of gal!I would love to see the rest of you studio!Have you ever considered giving an online watercolour course, or creating a video to show your process?
Renee, thank you for your comment. I do kind of love the Boxer but don't actually try to paint just them. My wife and I are involved in several rescue groups which are Boxer and that is where a lot of my commission work comes from. I love all dogs and love to paint them. My own dogs are Boxers and my wife would not have any other breed. They are pretty amazing, goofy and loveable creatures. I shall take some more photos of my studio and show them here. You will be surprised at how small it is. Maybe 8' X 8'. That's it! As for doing a watercolour course i have not considered it before. Or a video. My shyness prevents it as well as my artists critic which tells me all the time my work is not good enough. I think that's why i keep on painting, hoping to convince "the voice" to go bother someone else. :) Thank you though for your suggestion. I am really honoured to think it could be possible.
I am taking an on-line course by Kelly-Rae Roberts, and before we get to the art, the first section is entirely on getting rid of the gremlins that speak to us! I am also quite shy, but when I speak to students, I am like a different person! I have also found speaking to other artists quite comforting and a new side comes out of me! Have you ever read The Artist's Way, by Julia Cameron. Here whole book is about letting to and believing in our talents/gifts/passions!Have fun with purple!
Renee i checked out Kelly-Rae and thought her site to be great as well as her courses. I have read the Artists Way many years ago but perhaps it is time to re-visit that most excellent book. Could not hurt that's for sure. Thank you for reminding me of it. Purple is done! We had fun Miss Purple and I. :)
Just love the colors in this one!
Thank you Maria. How nice to meet you! I appreciate your comment.
